The photo was taken in the 1974/75 season Beaudin's third of four with the Winnipeg Jets. After "cups of coffee" with St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild in the NHL, he joined Winnipeg for the inaugural WHA season of 1972/73. That year, Beaudin tied Bobby Hull with 103 points to lead the Jets and in that post-season he had one of the greatest playoffs in WHA history. He topped the league with 28 points in 14 games as the Jets lost the final to New England. In his last year of 1976, he helped Winnipeg finally win their first Avco Cup as WHA champions. He would finish his career with two years in the Swiss League with Langnau.
